Am I the only person who thinks that making our currency look like a Gift Certificate from a shopping mall is just a waste of our taxpayer money?
@MercenarySlick They were brand new when we got them, our subs however are a different story....

"Anyone want to explain to me why we are there again? What will we be winning if we win this war, other than giving our dead a reason?"When will the media ask Obama those same questions?.

hey look dragon age is out?
Looking at the pics, it appears to be a simple IR-based nightvision system, and not the more expensive light amplification-based ones. Still cool though, looks neato.FYI: You can build one of those very easily and for pretty cheap. Get a cheapo webcam or old camcorder...preferably one that's only black and white or has a black and white mode. Then get some of the biggest, brightest IR LED's you can find, build a power supply, and make an array out of them. Best way to do it is similar to the pic, a ring of them around the camera lens with a reflector of some sort. Turn on the LED's and put the camera in the dark, and there ya' go. It's basically a huge IR flashlight that only the camera can see. Nice quick project for a Science Fair in HS (do they still do those?) or a college electronics course. |

This is a leap ahead of all other technologies, period. No matter the losses, no matter the cost. Once it is done and implemented, it (re)moves most of the dirty work of energy production off planet. And, we will have ultimately subsidized the project and Japan when they then sell their excess nighttime electricity back to the rest of us.

"With few exceptions (such as Robert M. Price), scholars in the fields of biblical studies and history agree that Jesus was a Jewish teacher from Galilee who was regarded as a healer, was baptized by John the Baptist, was accused of sedition against the Roman Empire, and on the orders of Roman Governor Pontius Pilate was sentenced to death by crucifixion.[1]""Nevertheless, the historicity of Jesus is accepted by almost all Biblical scholars and classical historians.[133][134] [135]The New Testament scholar,[136][137] James Dunn describes the mythical Jesus theory as a 'thoroughly dead thesis'.[138][139][140]"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historicity_of_JesusDude, there is an entire wikipedia article about it. Don't bury your head in the sand.
