Exactly. Shareholders bear at least some responsibility for encouraging the ruthless pursuit of ever-increasing profit, at the expense of ethical and humanitarian concerns. Ideally, shareholders would be more ethical and critical in assessing how and where their investment dollars are being used, and should investing accordingly. It may take a while to catch on... :(
