I used to put ESET NOD32 3.5 one everything, but even 4 lets a lot of malware and rootkits through to mess up the system completely. Now i put Avira 9 on everything. It's been bulletproof up until last week. So now i'm switching to MSE, since it's free, uses no resources, and has decent ratings. We will see how long that will last. I've also test Symantec 2010. Though it is improved from the older ones in terms or resources, it is still not nearly as lean as NOD, Avira, nor MSE. I can feel it bogging down especially on older systems and VMs. Sadly it's really tough to get good info on antivirus due to it's nature, and takes a lot of time to test by yourself.
Did CBS want this so that it can have a show to follow "How I Met Your Mother"?

“But of course he went on to found Be. Wonder if BeOS was unusually popular in France as a result.

How about a bathtub without a drain stopper?.
I remember the Malarchuk incident. I was so scared that he was going to die. I think everyone was. And here is a nice photo that was once hanging up in my college's art gallery. http://www.aggona.org/gallery/albums/album18/malar ...!

Imagine a Beowulf cluster of those!Clap if you know what I'm talking about. F*ck off if you don't.;-)?
This gets to the core of a constant debate regarding corporate ethics (ha ha, I know). If the law is on their side (and it is), is it their ethical responsibility to act in the common good or is it their ethical responsibility to maximize profits for their shareholders? Ideally, we would hope legislators would create a legal environment where corporations could act ethically AND maximize profit, but that is seldom the case. Hence the debate about whether the fault lies with the legislators and the people for creating a bad system, or with firms for taking advantage of the system. The situation is even more complex when firms lobby legislators to change the system for their benefit. The biggest challenge in the real world is to think about the individual executives who are responsible for making decisions. Let's say I'm completely ethical and attempt to implement an ethical scheme. Some other executive will come along and promise to increase profits at the expense of ethics. Shareholders rarely care, and thus I get replaced and everyone around me sees what ethical behavior results in. |

I vividly recall my 11 year old self being so severely disappointed by 2600 Pac Man that I almost cried. And to rub it in, for some reason every TV show from about 1985 until about 2005 that featured a "kid playing a video game" scene used the sound effects from 2600 Pac Man as the generic "video game" sound. You'd see some half-rate kid actor wiggling a joystick like an idiot while they played the asinine "bong bong bong" sound of that crappy jaggedy non-Pac Man thing eating those big stupid chunky lines. Good times.
